Mission Statement

To promote the musical education of children and to provide instruction using the Suzuki method to develop their musical talent and appreciation that will last a lifetime.

History
Since 1979, Suzuki Niagara has been giving children a chance to develop musical appreciation and ability. Several of those who began as three-year-olds have continued on to become members of youth orchestras in the Niagara and Toronto areas, some with plans for careers in music.

Suzuki Niagara is a self-governing, independent organization, affiliated with the Niagara Youth Orchestra. The children, with their parents, have a weekly private lesson, and thirteen group lessons per year.

Annual workshops are held with guest clinicians, which together with the at-home listening and practice provide a stimulating environment for the children. As they progress, the children can move into reading groups and the Niagara Youth Orchestra.

Although it is the child who is physically learning to play an instrument, we see whole families experience a new love for music right along with their son or daughter. We welcome new families. Call to learn more and find out how to begin.
